What is Strat-Think-Frank?

The Strat Think Frank method is a technique developed by Frank Striatum to solve problems on almost any level.  The technique requires you to look inward and discover the answers you already have.  Think of this as a mini journey of self-discovery.  In an attempt to simplify the process, Frank used 3 themes to paraphrase the concepts used:

Strat = Strategy

  • To use a specific strategy to solve the current issue
  • Utilize a framework that will allow for a logical progression
  • Involve choice as a way to conquer obstacles

Think = Mindfulness & Awareness

  • To be thoughtful and gather information about the problem
  • To fully explore the ideas presented
  • To understand that emotional issues tend to narrow our focus

Frank = Honesty

  • Open yourself up to the possibilities in front of you
  • Let go of blame and assigning fault
  • Be honest with yourself about your own intentions, faults, limitations

By allowing yourself to think about different strategies, thoughts, and being honest with yourself, you can converge finding direct solutions to your problems.  Often times you’ll discover areas where you lack knowledge, or find that your avoiding taking action.  The Strat Think Frank method aims to point out to you the areas which are most important.  This is called the RLF = Rate Limiting Factor.  By finding the RLF, you’ve found the area which requires your utmost attention and action.  When you take action concerning the RLF, you are maximizing and accelerating your ability to solve the problem.  To learn more click on the Overview link.
